Raising public support for issues relating to law enforcement officers’ rights.
Help us help them

NPRA exists to support Police Officers across Canada.
Although they are served by a variety of unions we still believe we can be an advocate for individual officers and bring their challenges to the forefront. As a result, we believe our efforts, can positively affect police union efforts and encourage them to continue to work for their membership.
NPRA Initiatives
The NPRA is focussed on championing equality of representation for paying union members. While police unions provided representation for many issues facing their members, some issues – often those of minority representation – are skirted or ignored by union representatives. The NPRA is interested in bringing accountability to police unions on issues facing paying members that have been inappropriately ignored and are deserving of fair equitable representation.
Many members of the RCMP who were segregated and placed on LWOP suffered significant financial and mental health hardship. The NPRA also seeks to build a hardship fund to assist these members in their time of need and to provide emotional support to those who have been disregarded by their management and union.
The NPRA seeks to encourage member involvement in their local union initiatives to ensure the issues that have been ignored by the union and by management are being heard. The NPRA supports voicing concerns and advocating within the union environment with a view to engaging police unions in amicable resolutions.
